Successful business year, generational change and new offices: Klenk & Hoursch continues to grow

Klenk & Hoursch ended the 2021/2022 fiscal year with a total revenue of 6.3 million euros, a 16 percent increase over the previous year. Mandates relating to transformation, sustainability and executive communications were the main contributors to this successful development. In the past year, Klenk & Hoursch was also able to win numerous new clients, including Kneipp group, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Schumacher Packaging.

"In the last 18 months, we have invested in our infrastructure and work culture, but above all in people with whom we can grow," says Daniel J. Hanke, CEO of Klenk & Hoursch. "We were able to recruit talented experts like Luise Baar, who is setting up our Public Affairs office in Berlin as Managing Director, and Stephan Ahlf, Managing Director for Healthcare communications. In addition, a total of 20 new employees came on board in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich in the past fiscal year – all of whom have become an indispensable part of the company."

Generational change completed: Partners increase their shares

Stephan Hoursch, one of the two founders of Klenk & Hoursch, retired at the end of the 2021/22 fiscal year. At the beginning of March 2023, he also retired as a shareholder and sold the majority of his shares to our third-generation partners: Nina Friedmann and Kathrin Schum (co-owners since 2018) and Tchoko Souga (co-owner since 2019). Stephan Hoursch had gradually handed his responsibilities in agency management over to our younger partners in the past few years, thus ensuring the successful generational change of the company.

After nine years in the Bogenhausen district, Klenk & Hoursch moved to new premises in Munich's Werksviertel district on February 1, 2023. From Friedenstraße 6, the consultancy will continue serving clients such as Hermes Arzneimittel, Siemens Stiftung and PageGroup. "The Werksviertel is an extraordinary urban district with a lot of development potential. Exactly the right place for our team and our further growth," says Tobias Müller, CFO at Klenk & Hoursch and Munich location manager. The Frankfurt office moved into new premises at Südbahnhof last year.
